Dr. Esmer is very conscientious, very humble, a great listener, and has an excellent bedside manner. I cannot recommend him enough. If anyone in my family needs to see an ENT, they are going to see Dr. Esmer!
I was really upset by this vecause I most definitely did call and apologize profusely for having the had luck to get sick during the time of year many people get sick -- shockingly.
I left totally upset that I drove all the way to Tigard to be turned away because I was minutes late - AND I called ahead!
The first time I had an appointment I had to cancel because of a cold - no one needed to get sick because of me, so I called to cancel. Apparently they didn't make a note of that.
I've had one of the worst medical experiences of my life with Dr. Esmer's staff - I never even got to meet with Dr. Esmer regarding my sinus issues.
Dr. Esmer is a master. Technically and personally terrific
Because of my health situation, I have seen many, many people who are in medical practice. Many of them have no business practicing medicine, but once in a while, I come across someone like Dr. Esmer, someone who was born to be physician/surgeon, and it restores my belief in modern medicine.
I'll be finding a better ENT somewhere else.
I rescheduled and the new appointment was for today. I was on time for arrival before an accident on the highway delayed me. I called to say I was going to be a couple of minutes late - literally two minutes! I thought calling would be considerate, since most people don't. The woman I spoke to said that Dr. Esmer would be too busy to see me because I was "so late."
Dr. Esmer has performed 2 surgeries on my neck to help with my fight against cancer. He is awesome! In both cases, the surgeries went well, recovery was short, and I had no nerve damage to any of my neck muscles, as I had from a previous surgery from a different surgeon.
I can't speak about Dr. Esmer but his staff leaves a tremendous amount to be desired in terms of customer service, consideration and communication.
Two minutes later I arrived - at 8:32 - and checked in at the desk. The receptionist repeated that Dr. Esmer would not be able to see me. And since I was a "no call, no show" for my previous appointment he would basically never be able to see me.
