While I won't turn vegan, it's really good and beyond my expectations. I especially enjoy the creative use of ingredients like my plantain "bread" portobello sandwich.
I wanted to give this place 2 stars, but the portions are so minuscule I don't think they deserve it. I don't normally eat huge portions, often something the size of a side is more than enough for me, but I paid almost $20 for a sandwich and fries from here a couple of weeks ago. What arrived was about 3 small bites worth of sandwich and an amount of fries that could easily be picked up in one hand by an infant.
Not vegan, but I've been here at least 4 times in the past 3 months and it's always been a good experience. The food is always great.
Been there couple of times recently. All vegan exotic food in a casual setting. Items you wont find in a conventional chain restaurant. Highly recommended even if you are not vegan,
the food here deserves 5 stars, I am vegan but all of my meat eating friends suggest going here because they crave the food they serve! I actually have never needed to suggest it because everyone loves the food so much. I have been here many times over the years and the food is always consistently high quality that anyone would love and for us vegans, it is heavenly. The downgrade from 5 stars is because the last 2 times I have been to the restaurant the front end staff seems a bit clueless, not rude, they just don't know any of the answers. The lack of knowledge causes them to run to the kitchen for every.single. order. to ask questions that are pretty basic. One of the times the young man rang up two glasses of wine but before he looked at the bottle he said he didn't think he had enough chilled for 2 glasses but had already rung me up (we had just had 2 glasses earlier so why didn't he throw a bottle in right away? and why did he charge me knowing he couldn't give me 2 glasses?) None of it was mean spirited, just a bit clueless. The management just needs to spend some time with the front end staff and get them up to speed, so it doesn't detract from the amazing food this place serves! That said, the food is so good I can overlook a bit of poor training.
Most stingy restaurant I've ever been to. If you're going to charge $10 for a sandwich at least make it a borderline reasonable size, and 10 small skinny french fries is not a side, it's someone's leftovers.
This was probably the best vegan meal I have ever had at a vegan restaurant. I had the chicken and waffles and a side of Mac and cheese. The cheese is not sticky gooey, but more of a thin sauce. It was good but I had to add salt. The chicken and waffles were simply amazing. My food came up very quick and the service was wonderful. I don't live in Oregon, but if I did I would DEFINITELY without a doubt come back here.
Spend your money elsewhere.
I will definitely return.
